Puto

Finally! I got my craving satisfied. Yesterday while chatting with my sister, I was wondering why took her long to respond my messages and she told me that she's busy preparing in the kitchen because it was my Stepdad birthday. Along with my Mom, they were cooking tons of food like they're going to feed the whole community. They were cooking lumpia, pancit, dinuguan , and tons more. I mentioned food, I suddenly crave for dinuguan and puto. So, this is the reason why I come back and writing this blog.

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup refined sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 can Evaporated milk
2 tsp. pandan essence
3 eggs
2 cups fresh milk
1 stick unsalted butter-melt in the microwave for 30 seconds

Direction:

1. Using a stand mixer- whisk in low-speed all the liquid ingredients plus the sugar.
2, Scoop the flour by a cup in 3 batches and gradually mix it in the liquid mixture. Add the baking powder.
3, Using batter dispenser, pour in the batter in colorful molds in 3/4 full.
4. Arrange molds on a steamer rack and steam for 20-25 minutes.
5. Top with cheddar cheese or salted eggs if you wish.

Since I have enjoyed these yummilicious puto with dinuguan. Dinuguan recipe will be posted next.
